Our school hosted the above event where we compete in the pool against the King Edwards Schools. This is a very high level competition with the eight fastest swimmers competing. Our team consisted of Frankie Ward, Indu Appana, Maya Basra, Maddie Shay, Molly Sanders, Grace Rees, Imogen Viney and Ruby Couzens. A special thank you to Frankie and Indu who were recruited when we found that two of our swimmers were unable to compete due to illness. Grace Rees won her event of 100m Breastroke in 1.19seconds a brilliant finish! Overall we came third by one point so the trophy goes to King Edwards Camp Hill this year. Thanks to the sports leaders who helped out on the night making sure that the event ran smoothly and a special thanks to Mrs Foley for her fantastic scoring ability.
Four of our girls competed at the new pool in Worcester, Perdiswell Leisure Centre, for the 33rd Bromsgrove Relays. Our four girls, Imogen Viney, Amelia Bradley, Ella Blyth and Ruby Couzens swam in the Freestyle Relay and came 2nd by .07 of a second with a photo finish and in the Medley Relay they achieved 3rd place in 1.07.03 seconds .28 of a second behind 3rd place. The girls were very happy to come home with a silver and bronze medal. Congratulations and well done to you all.
